Unique Fordite specimen ring. Freeform Fordite, metallic grey, black, and red, is nestled in fine and sterling silver with 18k gold along the straight edge, the setting rests atop a organic wavy band. The ring is oxidized and polished to enhance the details of the metalwork.
Fordite is vintage automobile paint which is formed from the built up layers of enamel paint overspray on tracks and skids when cars were hand spray painted. The paint has been baked numerous times and has become so hard that it is able to be cut and polished.

Dimensions: fits an 8.25 to 8.5 US, can not be resized; setting is 7/8" by 3/4" at the widest point; band varies, 9mm at widest points
